Voroshilovka (Woroszylowka) - in the era of Polish rule town of Bratslav province, Vinnitsa povet. In 1765 there were 116 Jews in the town and 146 in District; in 1787 - 189 and 263.
Now - County town of Vinnitsa Podolia. In 1847, "Voroshilov Jewish community" consisted of 988 souls; in 1897 3,180 inhabitants, including 1,592 Jews. There is a wooden synagogue, there are about 200 years old. Local legend relates that visited her passing Baal Shem asked God to guard her from the water and fire, and when there was a fire, which destroyed almost all the town, the synagogue remained intact - it was surrounded by crows and pigeons, and did not let the fire touch it.
The funeral brotherhood, there are about 100 years old; there pinkos. In heders enrolled 150 children. The boxed collection reaches 2,300 rubles, of which the needs of the Jewish population is a small part.

Before the war, there lived a little more than 1,000 Jews.
Those who did not evacuate were apparently killed in Gnivan and Tyvrove.
Today, this is a common village, the last burial in the Jewish cemetery took place, according to a local resident, in 1974.
