Zarozhany (ukr. Зарожани), known since 1672. In the 16-18 centuries in Moldavian principality. Since 1812 in Khotyn powet (district) of Bessarabia province of Russian Empire, in 1918 - 1940 as part of the Kingdom of Romania, in 1940 - 91 - as part of the Ukrainian SSR.
In 1930, 90 Jews lived in Zarozhany.
In July 1941, 15 Jews were killed in Zarozhany, the rest were deported to Transnistria.
