Nepolokivtsi (ukr. Неполоківці), known since 1425. In the 16-18 centuries in Moldavian principality. In the 19 - beggining of the 20 centuries - in the province of Bukovina as part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. In 1918-40 - as part of Romania, in 1940-91 - as part of Ukrainian SSR.
In the end of the 19th century 535 Jews lived in Nepolokivtsi,
in 1930 - 316,
in 1940 - 615 Jews,
in the 1950s - 3 Jewish families.
The Jewish community in Nepolokivtsi was founded in the mid -18th century by immigrants from Galicia. Nepolokivtsi had 3 synagogues (the latter built in 1910), a Jewish hospital.
At the beginning of the 20th century the Zionist organization and charity society were created.
Jews were engaged in trade, the construction of houses. Many Jews were tailors, potteries, carpenters.
In the 1920-30s acted branches of various Jewish parties and organizations.
In 1939, several Jewish refugees from Poland arrived in Nepolokivtsi.
In July 1941, after the occupation by the Romanian troops, 54 Jews were killed in Nepolokivtsi, 132 were deported to Transnistria.
