Malyy Kuchuriv (Small Kuchuriv) founded in 18 century. In the 16-18 centuries in Moldavian principality. Since 1812 in Khotyn powet (district) of Bessarabia province of Russian Empire, in 1918 - 1940 as part of the Kingdom of Romania, in 1940 - 91 - as part of the Ukrainian SSR.

In 1897, 120 Jews lived in Malyy Kuchuriv (17.6%),
in 1920 - 68 Jews.

After the occupation by the Romanian troops in July 1941, the Jews of Malyy Kuchuriv were deported to Transnistria; most of them died.
