The village of Hrozyntsi (Ukr. Грозинці), former volost (subdistrict) center Groznitsa in Khotyn powet (district) of Bessarabia province of Russian Empire, in 1918 - 1940 as part of the Kingdom of Romania, in 1940 - 91 - as part of the Ukrainian SSR.
According to the documents of 1886, 1902 residents lived in the village. The number of Jews is unknown.
There was a Jewish prayer house in the village.
In 1903, a pogrom was staged in Hrozyntsi.
