The village of Balamutivka (Rom. Balamutca, Ukr. Баламутiвка), former town in the historical Bessarabia region of the Principality of Moldova. Since 1812 in Khotyn district of Bessarabia province of Russian Empire, in 1918 - 1940 as part of the Kingdom of Romania, in 1940 - 91 - as part of the Ukrainian SSR.
According to the documents of 1886, 896 residents lived in the village. The number of Jews is unknown.
There were only 3 stores in the village, probably all of them belonged to Jews (according to the 1912 reference book, all shops in the villages of the Khotyn district belonged to Jews. However, Balamutivka is not mentioned in this reference book).
